Danny Huff How do I download the app for Buzzbii on my mobile devices. I don’t feel safe using Google chrome to use this site,

I was wondering the same thing but until I get the app I’ve been using safari instead of chrome. Not sure if that’s any safer though.

Reggie that's a very good question. When we designed Buzzbii a few years ago we kept in mind all the ways that free speech could be attacked. The easiest way is through a native mobile app. The company we founded has built many mobile apps for other industries. All apps have to go through the Apple and Google submission process. They then determine if your app is allowed on their app stores. They can decide at any moment and for any reason to pull you from their store. This is exactly what happened to Parler. When I first looked at Parler when it first came out I predicted what is happening. And it is a shame.

Now with that being said, we designed Buzzbii to work as closely to a native app as possible. You can even add an icon to your home screen to launch it. If you are worried about using Google Chrome you can always install other browsers. There are many to choose from. Just do a search for mobile browsers.

BTW Buzzbii isn't connected in any way to Apple, Google, Microsoft, or Amazon.

Several years ago when I told the programmers what I wanted to do but without using any of those services they thought I was nuts. It would have been much easier. They thought I was just being paranoid. But now look where we are in the world. Pulling Parler from the app stores wasn't enough because you could still use the online version. Since it was built on AWS (Amazon Web Services) Amazon decided to kick them off their servers as well, taken down their entire website. But as long as they kept a backup of their database they can always migrate to different servers.

Keep in mind that any browser you install on an iPhone or Android comes from the App Store. That means they would have to be approved by Apple or Google. So we can never be 100% secure. I also know that Apple doesn't even allow truly unique browser on their devices. What I mean is, if you install Chrome on an iPhone it is just Safari that has been rebranded.
There is a little bit more leeway with Android. They actually allow you to install apps from other sources beside just their Play Store. So we could actually design an Android Buzzbii app and just host it ourselves. But only Android users could install it. And we don't know how long Android will keep this as policy. They may someday require all apps to go through their Play Store.
